Is $4,000 to replace salt system a fair price?
Project Details
I feel like this price is too high, as my research suggests it should be closer to $1,500. My current system was installed about a decade ago. Another company quoted me $4,500 sight unseen. I live in a high cost of living area in New York (the Hamptons). I'm nervous about the electrical work involved. I'm considering ordering the system online and hiring someone to install it, as I'm worried about screwing it up myself. This company has been reliable and reasonable in the past, and I've used them for years, but I don't want to be overcharged.
