I was shocked by LeafGuard's quote. The salesman's tactics were scummy; he wouldn't send an actual quote and stayed at my house for 3 hours, despite saying it would only take an hour. I also mentioned that I'm planning to move in 2-3 years, which made their 'lasting a lifetime' pitch irrelevant. Even if the price was what I expected ($1k-$3k), I wouldn't have gone with them solely based on this interaction. My house is a ranch style, 1 story. The salesman claimed the system would instantly raise my home's value by $16k. He also offered a 'free trip' (either a cruise or a condo) if I signed that day, which I assume would involve a sales pitch. I did not buy them.
