Is $250 to patch roof leaks and flashing a fair price?
Project Details
I currently live at home with my parents and my bedroom is in the attic. For the last few years I have had problems with my walls becoming wet when it rains heavily. Around 2 years ago this began to get much worse, with large portions of my wallpaper sagging and even peeling, and water dripping down my walls that lead to white, fluffy mould developing across my walls. My mum and dad don’t have much money. They are struggling to recover from a failed business, and I am recently self-employed without a large amount of spare savings. My dad owes me a few thousand as well. After the initial repair, a few days after heavy rain, one of my walls was absolutely soaked, and I found mold on the wallpaper and cement underneath. The other wall also had significant mold. My parents are saying the roof was fixed and that they don’t have any more money for more work. I’m living in a room with mould and soaked walls, and the room looks terrible; I can’t decorate it until the work is done.
