Is $3,000 to re-point and re-flanch two chimney stacks a fair price?
Project Details
I am seeking thoughts on the quality of work done on my two chimney stacks. I paid £3k for re-pointing and re-flanching, which included front scaffolding. We verbally agreed they would mend the lead flashing, but this wasn't in the written contract and wasn't done. I'm concerned about the quality of the back chimney, as there seems to be loose mortar, and broken mortar was left in the gutter. They said the flashing wasn't fixed because it would require rear scaffolding.
