Is $2,000 to replace a 180 sqft sunroom roof a fair price?
Project Details
I received a quote to replace my 180 sqft sunroom roof for $2,000, and I'm looking for a sanity check as it seems excessive. I'm still waiting on a second quote. I'm skeptical because the cost of 6 boxes of CertainTeed shingles appears to be around $300, making the remaining $1,700 for underlayment, flashing, and labor seem high for a 180 sqft roof that they estimate will take 6 hours. They are also quoting $90 per sheet for OSB or CDX, which I've found for $15 per sheet at a local big box store. Additionally, the $11/sqft price seems high compared to what I've seen online. I was initially expecting a single person to do the work, not a team. I've never shingled a roof myself, so I'm questioning if I'm just being cheap.
