Is $850 to install a roof vent a fair price?
Project Details
I had a big HVAC company come out to quote for more blown insulation in my attic. As part of the quote, the technician suggested adding a roof vent, stating that my house didn't have one because builders are cheap. I'm questioning if this is true, if roof vents are always beneficial, if there are negatives, and if they are likely to leak. I'm also wondering if my house, which was well-built in the 90s, might have other passive vents.
