I have a leak in my roof. The contractor who quoted me wasn't entirely sure where the leak was coming from, but suspected it was the flashing in that general area. I found it odd that he didn't have anyone inside to monitor for water ingress during his assessment, nor did he ask me to do so. I'm concerned about the commonality of not being able to pinpoint a leak source before offering a repair quote, and also about potential remedial work if the repair doesn't fix the leak. I wasn't sure if he was an actual roofer or a salesperson.
