Is $825 to remove moss from roof a fair price?

I live in the PNW and got a quote for gutter cleaning. The company recommended moss removal from my roof using a "wire brush method" before cleaning the gutters. They quoted $825, which I thought was very high. I'm wondering if this is necessary for roof maintenance and if this is a typical price for a HCOL area. I also asked if it's possible to do this from the ground if I don't want to climb on the roof, and what people think about using a ferric sulfate solution.
