replace roof with new shingles and decking

Is $25,000 to replace roof with new shingles and decking a fair price?

Project Details

My roof has 2 leaks, and the company I called said my roof is in very bad condition. All the boards underneath need to be replaced, plus the soffit. I'm not entirely sure how old the roof is, but I've owned the house for 11 years. I definitely need a new roof before I get even more water damage, but the quoted price seems really high to me, even though my mom paid a similar amount for her bigger roof a couple of years ago. The guy mentioned the new shingles have something in them to prevent moss growth, which is good because I have two huge maple trees with branches hanging over the roof.
