Is $1,500 to repair chimney flashing and install downspout a fair price?
Project Details
I need to have my chimney flashing and some surrounding shingles replaced, and I have gotten three very different estimates: $700, $1.5K, and $4.1K. The person who gave the lowest estimate didn't spend a lot of time looking at the roof or explaining things to me, which I was a little put off by. The other two seemed good and seem to have reported a similar scope of work on their estimates. My brain is telling me to go for the lower price, but I am a little thrown off by how discrepant these three estimates are. Is that normal?
