Is $156 to install a solar panel system with battery backup a fair price?
Project Details
I was paying approximately $100 to $120 monthly in electrical bills, consuming less energy than the average consumer. I was told I wouldn’t have to pay the electric company anymore, only the solar company. I live in Puerto Rico where power outages happen frequently, and electrical bills keep increasing. I'm wondering if paying $30-$40 more for solar than my current electrical bills is worth it. I cannot buy the system outright or get a loan for it. I signed the contract a day ago and believe there's a 10-day cancellation limit. I know two people who have used this company and love the service. I am currently reading the contract fully to understand it. A solar salesman estimated that future electrical bill increases would make my current bill about $13 more than what I would pay the solar company.
