Is $4,000 to temporarily remove 4 solar panels for roof work a fair price?
Project Details
I need to temporarily remove solar panels from my roof to allow for chimney tuck pointing and replacement of an exhaust pipe boot. I have a 1.5 story home with a low sloping roof. I was shocked by the initial estimate of $4,000-$5,000 for 4 panels, as I expected $300-$500 per panel. I only want the physical panels removed to prevent damage from mortar, not the mounts or racking. I am still under workmanship warranty for one more year and do not want to void it.
