Is $1,500 to install a solar pre-wire to future-proof the system a fair price?
Project Details
We are having some re-model work redone. The electricians installed a 30A pre-wire which can handle about 11 panels. The walls are currently open and there is a full run from the panel area up to the attic. The solar installer is refusing to use the existing pre-wire unless their crew performs the roof penetration and wiring to ensure it meets their specs.
