I received this quote from an installer local to the Carolinas. I am hoping to qualify for current incentives from Duke Energy NC, including the Duke PowerPair Program for a $9000 rebate and the Duke Battery Control program for a monthly bill credit of approximately $53, totaling about $6200 over 10 years. This would bring my potential net cost after 10 years down to $15,200. I likely won't be able to get the 30% federal tax credit because I believe the installer is fully booked until the end of the year, which is a bummer. I have received a couple of other comparable quotes and am considering this one because they offer 12-month 0% financing. I also tried entering my details on the Tesla website, which suggested a 7.14 kW system with one PowerWall 3 but no price. I've seen that a 20-panel system with one PowerWall 3 from Tesla might be around $33,000, making this quote for 19 panels and one PowerWall 3 about $3,000 cheaper. I am wondering if there's a disadvantage to only having the PowerWall 3 as an inverter and not having additional microinverters.
