Is $16,650 to install a 4.73 kW solar system a fair price?
Project Details
I’m planning to install solar before year-end to take advantage of current tax incentives. My annual usage is approximately 8,700 kWh. My roof is half south-facing and half north-facing, and the layout isn’t ideal for cramming in lots of panels, so I’m trying to maximize efficiency with limited space. Both quotes seem high to me, but Company B is crazy high? Maybe the system is too small to be worth it? As far as inverters, I don’t know, but they are either IQ8X or IQ8MC. Almost every installer I’ve called is taking no more orders so they can be finished by EOY.
