Is $58,990 to install a 9.6 kW solar system with 27 kWh battery storage and backup gateway a fair price?
Project Details
I am in Southern California (Inland Empire) and get a lot of sun. I believe this installation should be simple, except for vents requiring panel division. I think the 9.6 kW system might be slightly undersized for my needs. The company is reputable and recommended, but the proposed system seems very expensive. My usage varies between 500 and 1800 kWh/month, and I haven't been in the house a full year yet. I'm considering this due to current federal administration policies. My electric bill could reach $800/month in August. The house is rather large, has two AC units, and currently uses gas for water heating and heating, which might change. I'm concerned about the 10-year breakeven after tax incentives. I have a call with another company to compare proposals. The house is two-story.
