Is $11,500 to install a 4.14KW non-export solar system with 9 Enphase panels a fair price?
Project Details
I currently have an 8.14KW Tesla solar system with a Tesla Inverter (no battery) and my house is 3,500 sqft in Southern California, connected to SCE. I also charge my Tesla Model Y at home. My existing system is not enough to cover my house and car, as my consumption goes over by about 300-400 kWh each month in the winter and summer. I am considering this additional system before the 30% tax rebate disappears and in light of the upcoming $24 additional Base Service charge from SCE. I am also curious if, with a non-export system, I can charge my car using only excess solar to avoid wasting production.
