Is $2,000 to replace a SolarEdge inverter a fair price?

Project Details

My SolarEdge inverter went out, and my original installer and the company they transferred me to are both out of business, leaving my system in limbo. I'm looking into becoming my own installer to make a warranty claim for a replacement inverter. I have an electrician friend who can install it. SolarEdge initially told me I'd need a contractor to activate it. I've started the process to transfer the system to myself and plan to call SolarEdge to file the claim. I'm currently missing the original paperwork.
