My home usage is approximately 910 kWh per month, and I expect this to increase with the addition of a second EV vehicle. I am currently in the process of getting solar quotes and have received four, with two being significantly higher than the options provided here. My utility offers 1:1 net metering, so my primary interest in a battery is for flexibility during short power outages, rather than daily energy arbitrage. I want the flexibility to run the whole house, including AC, for 6 to 8 hours off-grid, as previous outages have caused food spoilage. I also have an EV9 with V2L capability. I am weighing the benefits of the Enphase IQ10c (which requires a sub-panel for a single unit but offers future-proofing and less clutter) against the Enphase 5P (which is slimmer but might involve more maintenance and management). I recognize that a single 10 kWh battery might not be sufficient to power AC/heat. I am leaning towards Enphase as a good fit for my needs after research.
