Is $2,000 to upgrade electrical panel for Enphase consumption CT clamps a fair price?

Project Details

My electrical panel doesn have space for the Enphase consumption CT clamps; it only has space for the production clamps. I currently use an Emporia energy monitor for each of my circuits to track consumption, but it's a separate app. I'm wondering if I truly need the Enphase consumption monitoring since I already have the Emporia, and if it impacts any functionality. I am in MA, and my understanding is that the utility uses net metering to track production vs. consumption. I am doing SREC, and it seems they only care about production. I do not have batteries.

Upgrade electrical panel for solar installation

This quote is for an electrical panel upgrade required after the initial solar survey. The upgrade involves installing a 200/200 line fed panel separate from the meter. This is needed to expand the capacity of the panel to accommodate the new solar system and provide load capacity for two additional 40 amp breakers. It also addresses concerns about existing electrical capacity due to an EV charger that already required a 100 amp breaker. - Panel Type: 200/200 line fed panel separate from the meter- Purpose: Expand panel capacity for solar system- Additional Capacity: Load capacity for two more 40 amp breakers- Context: Existing 100 amp breaker for EV charger
