Is $28,000 to install a sigenergy 18kwh battery backup system a fair price?
Project Details
I'm considering installing a battery backup system to power my home for a day or two. No solar yet, but would plan to add later. Our electric load in the highest month is around 1800 kwh/mo, most of which is a 3 ton geothermal hear pump in the coldest part of winter. Lower months are around 700 kwh/mo.

The initial estimate was $4900, but after an on-site inspection, an additional $3000 was added to the price, bringing the total to $7900. The additional cost is due to specific site requirements. - Battery System: Sigenergy 10kWh all-in-one - Location: Outside against the garage (only suitable spot) - Additional Wiring: 40 meters of wiring required due to distance from battery to the front switchboard - Site Preparation: Installation of a slab for the outdoor unit
