Is $25,000 to install a Tesla solar system with Powerwall 3 a fair price?
Project Details
I am looking to get a quote on solar and currently use approximately 600 kWh/month in non-summer months and around 1,000 kWh/month from August through October. I understand that under the NEM 3.0 system, it is beneficial to right-size the system and include a battery (Powerwall 3) to store generated energy for night use. I am trying to determine if I should maximize my system or right-size it, as building it to cover my summer use might not be beneficial for the other 9 months due to low buy-back rates when I am overproducing. I am hoping to reduce my bill by approximately $300/month, which should allow me to break even in about 78 months. They can install it mid-November.
