I am looking to add solar panels and am buying, not leasing, and considering a solar loan. I'm trying to determine if the quoted prices are normal or if companies are price gouging due to the end of the federal tax credit. I'm seeking advice on what to look for beyond hardware reviews before making a decision. I'm particularly questioning the $42,000 quote, as I found the hardware for that system could be purchased for $14,000 online, and it doesn't seem to include anything extra beyond 25 panels and 25 inverters, despite hearing good things about the company.
