Is $10,000 to install a 101" x 54" horizontal slider window and enlarge opening a fair price?
Project Details
I am looking for a 101" x 54" horizontal slider window. I found Milgard Tuscany windows for around $800 on direct-buy sites like 1stWindows or ConstructionWindows, but these appear to be West Coast only. I think the local quotes are high, especially the labor and permits, considering it's a one-day job and I would finish the interior drywall myself. I am considering buying the window separately and hiring a general contractor for the installation. I am also looking for East Coast direct-buy window sites comparable to the ones mentioned.
