Is $3,500 to replace an alcove tub 'like for like' a fair price?
Project Details
I own a historic home in St. Louis, MO, with only one slightly dated bathroom. We had planned a full remodel in a few years, after adding a half-bath, but our acrylic bathtub recently cracked. While we received a quote for a 'like for like' replacement, we've decided to use this opportunity to redo the entire bathroom now, as a phased approach would be less cost-effective. The challenge is that we hadn't started planning the design, and the project needs to begin in the next 8 weeks. We're looking for help with design, material selection, color schemes, and textures. We want the new bathroom to maintain the historic charm of our home and visually connect with the rest of the house, especially the hallway, given it's a small house. I'm also not sure why the photos aren't turning up but probably just as well.
