Is $950 to remove mold and replace trim/baseboards in bathroom a fair price?

Project Details

I have a small section in my bathroom with mold behind it. I was quoted $950 for the removal and replacement of trim/baseboards, which seems high to me. I live about 30 minutes outside of Washington, D.C., which is an expensive area. I'm trying to determine if this is a reasonable price or if it's a job my husband could do. The mold is a result of water overflow from the sink once or twice, and despite trying to clean it with a water vacuum, it affected the area.
