Is $1,200 to self-level a basement concrete slab a fair price?
Project Details
My basement has a mostly tiled area, but one section of about 320 sq ft has a wavy concrete slab where I want to install vinyl plank flooring. I tried to fill in large dips with Ardex feather finish, but they are too big. I'm concerned about properly self-leveling it myself and want a confident substrate to prevent flooring lock failures.

Prepare concrete slab and install LVP flooring
I received a quote for preparing the concrete slab and installing Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring on the lower/main level of my home, which is approximately 750 sqft. The work would involve addressing various issues with the existing concrete slab to meet LVP flatness requirements, followed by the installation of the LVP flooring.Specific preparation tasks would include: - Grinding down uneven outer edges, particularly around subslab duct outlets - Repairing chipped concrete in front of the patio door and around tack strip areas - Filling a decent crack in the middle of the house near the stairs - Applying self-leveling compound to address a significant depression at the top of the stairs to the basement and a large hump in the middle of the living room, where the middle is 1"-1.5" higher than the outer edges over 9-10ft
