Is $4,000 to install LVP plank floating or lower quality carpet a fair price?

I am looking for the best flooring option for a rental property. I've used the 20mil LVP in another unit before. I was told the floor might need luan to make it flatter, which could increase the price. I'm also concerned if the flooring scratches easily.
