Is $10,900 to install hardwood on two sets of stairs and a hallway a fair price?
Project Details
This is the same flooring company we used a year ago to put new hardwood in to replace carpet in our large living room and sunroom and match the stain to existing hardwood in our other rooms. The cost for that was $8900. For this quote, they did mention they figured in the cost of white oak treads, but they definitely used red oak for the floors they did for us last year so I’m not sure why they quoted with white oak. I know stairs are much more complicated, but it’s a significantly smaller area than the last area they worked on.
