Is $2,000 to repair 20 tiles in 3 sections a fair price?
Project Details
I had water damage at my place, which led to the mitigation team ripping out about 20 tiles from 3 different sections. Most contractors are quoting above $4000, but I found two reasonable contractors, one charging $2000 and another $1000. I'm wondering why there's such a huge difference in the estimates and who I should trust. The mitigation company already removed all the damaged tiles, so the area is pretty clean and ready to install new stuff. I'm questioning if $2000 still makes sense given the preparation work is already done.
