Is $1,500 to level and screed floors in hallway and kitchen a fair price?
Project Details
My floor is covered in bumps which look like popcorn wallpaper, and it started making loud popping noises immediately after being screeded. The screed was also fused to my gas door, preventing it from opening, despite being told there was enough room for them not to remove the door. The owner claims these are normal air bubbles, but I am extremely unhappy with the results. This was meant to be the final smooth and level finished product before having wood floors laid on top, not just prep work.

Prepare concrete slab and install LVP flooring
I received a quote for preparing the concrete slab and installing Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring on the lower/main level of my home, which is approximately 750 sqft. The work would involve addressing various issues with the existing concrete slab to meet LVP flatness requirements, followed by the installation of the LVP flooring.Specific preparation tasks would include: - Grinding down uneven outer edges, particularly around subslab duct outlets - Repairing chipped concrete in front of the patio door and around tack strip areas - Filling a decent crack in the middle of the house near the stairs - Applying self-leveling compound to address a significant depression at the top of the stairs to the basement and a large hump in the middle of the living room, where the middle is 1"-1.5" higher than the outer edges over 9-10ft
