Is $3,552 to replace indoor evaporator cooling coil and recharge AC system a fair price?
Project Details
Money is pretty tight right now, and I'm trying to figure out if this is a good estimate for my parents' home. The upstairs AC has been out for the past couple of years. They tried replenishing freon twice last summer to get by. A new contractor found a leak. I want to replace the whole thing, but money is an issue as we are already strapped trying to keep a farm going. The upstairs AC is the only one that doesn't work. We should have done this sooner, as we spent at least $2,500 last year on freon and then $900 just to diagnose the micro leak.
