Is $2,000 to find a refrigerant leak a fair price?
Project Details
My HVAC system has a refrigerant leak. An HVAC technician came out and suggested that finding the leak would cost at least $2000, and it would be better to just replace the whole system for $6800. I am trying to figure out if a specific issue (potentially shown in the linked image) could be the cause of my refrigerant leak.
