Is $31,000 to replace boiler with Weil-McLain GV90 and a new indirect water heater a fair price?
Project Details
I have a 30-year-old Burnham gas boiler with 4 heating zones that is still working fine. My indirect water heater has developed a pinhole leak in the coil. I am getting quotes to replace the water heater either by itself or along with a new boiler. I am leaning toward staying with a cast iron boiler because I've heard high-efficiency gas boilers require more frequent and expensive maintenance. Heat pumps are not feasible with my house layout.
