Is $3,795 to replace AC coil a fair price?

Project Details

We have a 6-year-old AC unit. We lost our AC a couple of days ago, and a technician determined that the coil needed to be replaced because the installer of the current coil used plumbing solder, resulting in two leaks. I was quoted $3795 for a coil replacement. They also stated that it would be good to consider replacing the entire unit as my current unit uses R-410A, and a recharge may not be available if repair is needed again. I'm wondering if the quote is too high for the coil and if I should really consider replacing the entire unit, or if they are just trying to make a sale.
