Is $1,500 to modify ductwork to accommodate a 4 or 5 inch filter a fair price?
Project Details
I am looking to replace my current 1 inch filter setup with a 4 or 5 inch filter. I received this quote, but I am unsure if the proposed duct modification is the only solution. My hunch is that it might be possible to squeeze a 4 inch filter into the existing elbow, and I am wondering if doing that would cause airflow problems.
