Is $2,600 to replace draft inducer motor on a Ruud furnace a fair price?

About 2 weeks ago, my furnace quit working entirely. For the last couple of years, I've had to clean the flame sensor regularly. I tried cleaning the flame sensor and replacing the igniter/sensor myself, but it didn't fix the issue. A tech diagnosed the problem as a faulty draft inducer motor. I couldn't afford the $2600 to replace it at the time. Today, the heat cut on unexpectedly, even though the smart thermostat (replaced about 3 years ago) has been off since the diagnosis. Originally, it wasn't igniting or running at all, but now it's running and won't stop. I've killed it from the breaker for now. I can't afford another tech call if I still won't be able to fix it. I'm wondering if these problems are related, if the motor is still a problem if it's actively working, and if I can safely keep turning it on by the breaker for now without causing further damage.
