Is $14,000 to install a Daikin full HVAC system a fair price?

I'm deciding between two HVAC packages for my home, both quoted around $14,000 installed by decent contractors. The setups include both the outdoor AC and the furnace. From my research, both AC units have nearly identical cooling capacity and efficiency, but Daikin’s refrigerant and easier coil serviceability are points to consider. The furnaces are very similar too, but Trane having a slightly more advanced control boards. I'm not sure what that means for overall reliability. Since both quotes and contractors are solid and similarly priced, I’d appreciate any feedback from people who have lived with/work on similar models/ the brands. We are in New York. Our quotes are high, but the labor rates here are all crazy expensive as is. We have contacted eight companies so far. The two stage quotes have been well into $20k unfortunately, which is really not something we want to do. People are telling us that if we wait it's going to be 20-30 percent higher in October. I don't know.
