Is $11,500 to install a Daikin 96% furnace and 15 SEER 3.5-ton AC system a fair price?

I'm looking for input on replacing my home's HVAC system because the compressor in my current 2007 Goodman 3.5-ton R22 outdoor unit has grounded out. My existing 120,000 BTU furnace was oversized and short cycling. I've received other quotes ranging from $15,000 to $20,000 using Goodman equipment, which seemed high. I'm leaning toward the Daikin system option but am not familiar with the brand and can't find prices to research the true cost. I'm wondering if the $11,500 Daikin option is worth the upgrade or if I should just wait. I'm also interested in looking into 2-stage AC systems. My last house had a full electric heat pump with aux heating strip, and the electric bills were very high.
