Is $11,000 to move a heat-only furnace 2.5 feet into an adjacent hall closet a fair price?

I purchased my 1979 ranch two years ago. The original owners installed a furnace and water heater in one of the bedroom closets about 20 years ago, and the system was upgraded within the last 10 years. I need the closet space and I'm not a fan of a furnace in a kids room, especially my teenage son's room due to the scent of axe body spray spreading throughout the house. My husband is an industrial mechanic, but not HVAC. I would do all the drywall work and install a tankless water heater myself. I would also have the propane company move the line, as they are already adding a line for a gas stove.
