Is $900 to add a new 6-inch HVAC duct to a bedroom a fair price?
Project Details
I have a bedroom with a 6-inch HVAC duct. This room has two windows, one of which is large and receives direct sunlight, making it the hottest room in the house and not getting enough AC. The room is approximately 100 sqft, fitting a queen bed and a 60-inch dresser. I questioned why the existing 6-inch duct couldn't simply be swapped with a larger 10-inch duct, thinking it might be easier than cutting a new hole in the ceiling. I'm unsure if the proposed solution is correct, as I don't know much about HVAC.
