Is $900 to install 3-inch vent pipes for furnace a fair price?
Project Details
I have been getting a 3-3 or 1-3 error code on my Bryant Model: 926TB60100V21A-B furnace when it gets really cold outside, around 20 degrees. The current vent pipes are 2-inch PVC, and the outlet pipe looks narrowed. An HVAC technician diagnosed the problem as incorrect furnace installation due to undersized vent pipes. This issue has been occurring since I moved into the house two years ago, causing the furnace to lock out for a few hours once a day. I'm also curious why there is a reducer in the current setup. The furnace is located in an open basement.
