My mother's HVAC system is a couple decades old and the blower is constantly running, even when the Ecobee app shows the fan as off. A technician previously replaced the wiring harness, which temporarily fixed the issue, but it has recurred. I have tried disconnecting the Ecobee and specific wires, and even killing the furnace with the breaker, but the blower still comes back on. I am trying to explore all options before considering a full system replacement for my mother, as the quoted cost is $20,000.
