Is $3,000 to install a whole-house humidifier system a fair price?
Project Details
My electric-only townhouse, built in the 1980s, becomes incredibly dry when the heat pump is on, especially when temperatures drop to the low 30s or mid-20s in Virginia. We've tried portable humidifiers for years, but my spouse is allergic to mold, making even large ones problematic due to the need for daily cleaning. This dryness has been affecting us for over ten years.
