Is $9,500 to install a York 96% gas furnace with a heat pump and air scrubber a fair price?
Project Details
I'm looking to replace my original 1970 natural gas furnace, which doesn't have issues yet, to a 96% gas furnace with a heat pump. This is to prepare for hot weeks in the Pacific Northwest and to help offset natural gas costs. I'm unsure about the reliability of York equipment and want to ensure I'm making a good investment without overpaying. I chose a heat pump over a traditional AC unit for better long-term value. The quoted price is after utility company rebates.
