Is $7,000 to replace the HVAC unit a fair price?
Project Details
I was told the HVAC unit (indoor and outdoor?) should be replaced ($7000 odd) OR repaired. The repair would cost $4000 odd. My question is, what would be a better choice, repair or replacement? Money is obviously the main factor. I am leaning towards replacing the whole thing, based on the advice given here (I don even know what is freon, so going by what kind folks here suggested).
