Is $530 to run a new AC compressor control wire a fair price?

My thermostat wire got cut and shorted out, which happened on the hottest day of the year. A technician temporarily got cooling back by hot wiring the compressor and fan. I later paid $40 for a new 7/18 wire and pulled it through myself in half an hour. I'm now seeking guidance on the correct connection for the compressor wires to the Emerson 59-5225 board, as I'm concerned my current setup might bypass control board logic like restart delay. My outdoor unit uses red and white wires to a relay for the compressor, and my thermostat is standard R,Y,W,G,B=C.
