The initial quote was lacking information, without model numbers, specific ductwork type, or number of registers. The $16,000 cost was labeled as 'Materials subtotal', which concerned me as it implied additional labor costs, although I was later told it was for everything. When I asked for clarification, the brand changed to Ameristar in an email, but the image shows American Standard. I'm looking for a clear, detailed quote to protect myself, especially after a previous bad experience with another contractor who left a job unfinished and caused damage. I'm not trying to haggle on price, but want transparency. This is my second quote, and the first one was identical in price.
