Is $4,500 to repair a frozen AC unit and replace damaged components a fair price?
Project Details
My AC unit has been well kept. I replaced the outside unit and AC coils last summer. While I was away this week, the blower died and coils froze. The technician stated that when the coils thawed, the water damaged the circuit board and all other components, which now all need to be replaced, including the heat exchanger. It's currently very hot in the northeast, so I need this fix, but I'm unsure if I'm being overcharged.
