test for asbestos in duct insulation (per sample)

Is $800 to test for asbestos in duct insulation (per sample) a fair price?

Project Details

I have a lot of old, damaged flex ducts in my home, with insulation hanging out. My house is from the 1940s, and I'm concerned about potential asbestos, but I don't know when the ductwork was installed. I've had difficulty finding information about the specific duct type online. I'm hesitant to pay $800 per sample for asbestos testing unless there's a reasonable chance it contains asbestos.
